Announcement: The 4th Mr. & Mrs. Abe Arts & Culture Prize

Greetings For our Maison, art and creativity have always been unwavering core values. Over the past three editions, through the icon of the "Prunus Mume" (plum blossom), we have worked alongside you to write the "next page in the cultural history of the plum blossom." With each passing year, the diverse expressions and passion we receive across various genres have reaffirmed that creativity knows no boundaries and possesses infinite potential.

As we mark the fourth edition, we have set the theme for this contest as "Like a Prunus Mume." We aim to further expand this creative dialogue into a space for pure expression. [View Special Feature Page →]

Theme of Submitted Works The theme and motif are free.

Selection Criteria: In addition to artistic merit, the selection process will consider how the work resonates with the concept of the 4th contest, "Like a Prunus Mume," and the philosophy of our "Project Prunus Mume."

Categories 2D Works (Paintings, illustrations, collages, photography, etc. All genres are welcome.) Works must be previously unpublished. If the work includes other copyrighted materials, those must also be original creations of the applicant.

• Note: Posting on social media is considered "published."

• Note: Presentations in limited settings, such as within a school/campus, may be submitted as "unpublished."

Prizes Selected works will be published on our official website. The Grand Prize winner may choose one item from the following:

• Prunus Mume Blossom K18 & Diamond Ring Available in various colors and sizes. (Value: ¥264,000 incl. tax)

• Prunus Mume Scent Onyx Ring

• Prunus Mume Scent Green Quartz & Ruby Ring Available in various colors and sizes. (Value: ¥340,000 incl. tax)

• Prunus Mume Petal K18 Diamond Ring Available in various colors and sizes. (Value: ¥320,000 incl. tax)

Eligibility Open to all.

Application Period Until February 28, 2027. Results are scheduled to be announced between mid-April and May 2027. (The announcement date may vary depending on the number of entries and the review process.)
